Progress of The Gobstopper

Though I would update this with a little bit about the project I am doing. I am trying to model the Roger Clark Motorsport's Gobstopper

Photobucket

At first people said that it would be a hard object to model, and I agree with them! But I thought I would prefer to do some something like this that I am actually interested in, rather than model a Violin, while would be good in it's on right, wouldn't keep me interested enough to stay up till 2am trying to get that last little bit done!

So I have had allot of advice along the way which has really helped, and here is (some) of what I have so far!

This is the Curve Network. At first I was just having a polygon plane and then extruding and adding from there, then someone suggested to do it this way. I am so glad I changed to do it this way! It means that you just draw the edges of You object then use a tool called "Append Polygon", all you need to do is click on the previous plane then click on the lines where you want the next edge to be! so it already has the general shape. I am not the greatest at explaining, but hopefully you understand!

Anyway, there is a little pic of what I have got, it is not all of it (don't want to show it all in one go, but I am pretty happy with what I am producing.

Shall try and give another update tomorrow!
